Sugra Baghirzade was born on February 10th, 1947 in the city of Baku. She has shown a great interest in art ever since childhood. Her first success was the song "Jujalarim" (My chickens), performed at the celebration of Azerbaijani culture festival in Moscow in 1959 on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. It was precisely in the performance of Sugra Bagirzade and the accompaniment of the State Symphony Orchestra of Azerbaijan under the direction of maestro Niyazi that the song "Jujalarim" was included in the collection "The Best Children's Voices of the World". At the age of 12, that talented girl was invited to the “Azerbaijanfilm” studio as a dubbing actress. While studying in 8th grade, she starred in the short film "Roads and Streets" directed by Zeynab Kazimova. In 1963, she was invited to the leading role of Yeter in Agarza Guliyev's film "Ulduz", which became very popular in the mid-60s and has since enjoyed great success and love of the audience. After graduating from the Engineering and Technology Department of the Azerbaijan Oil Academy in 1970, she returned to the “Azerbaijanfilm” as an engineer, while continuing her career as an actress and creating memorable images in many films. Sugra Bagirzade is a member of the Union of Artists, the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan and the Confederation of Cinematographers of the CIS and the Baltic States.

Read moreMy artworks are a synthesis of handmade art, science, and nature. Throughout history, people have revered the forces of nature, the supernatural abilities of humans, and what we now call science and art. For millennia, these elements were collectively regarded as magic, the highest expression of this synthesis. My journey in art—beginning with early childhood performances on stage and in cinema, my career as a chemical engineer specialising in high-molecular compounds, and my deep love of nature—has culminated in the creation of my artworks and the establishment of a new direction in the florist industry.
I believe that flowers, like all living beings, possess an eternal soul. When I deal with living material, it is important for me not to disturb its own nature and to present its essence as much as possible. At my exhibitions, I am delighted to see flowers reveal their individuality, express their souls, and share their energy. These experiences inspire in the audience a profound reverence for nature. Few people live in a way that leaves a lasting mark on eternity. Through my art, I grant my flowers eternal life, preserving their unique characters. In return, they ensure that my name endures in the timelessness of creation.
Flowers accompany us from the beginning of life to its end. They are among the most beautiful and gracious gifts of God to humanity. These fragile and tender creatures possess a tremendous life-energy. Their love and yearning for light enable them to break through even the hardest rocks.Through my paintings they will bring light, love, and the wonderful power of nature into your home.
The materials I use to create my paintings come directly from nature, making any replication, by myself or others, actually impossible. My unique authoring technology, coupled with the time and intricacy involved in the creative process, ensures that each piece is truly one of a kind.
Each of my paintings takes up to five years to complete, regardless of size. During this time, flowers and fruits are delicately transformed into a ceramic-like state while preserving their biological structure. Fresh flowers may adopt unexpected shapes during the process, but when nurtured with love, they remain pliable, as though nature itself collaborates with me in the act of creation.
